Teesside Airport
Teesside International Airport engaged Eton Environmental Group to carry out a range of asbestos-related services, including surveying and asbestos awareness training.
The Client:
Teesside International Airport is a growing regional airport which flies to destinations such as Spain, Mallorca, Greece, Portugal and several destinations within the UK and Ireland.
The Work:
Eton Environmental has worked with Teesside International Airport Limited since 2020, providing various asbestos consultancy services including:
- Asbestos management plan
- Asbestos surveys and testing
- Asbestos re-inspections
- Management of asbestos register
- Asbestos awareness training
Initially, we needed to gain an understanding of existing information which we did through a desk top review and site visits. We then held meetings with key personal at Teesside International Airport to ensure that we were aware of their concerns and so that they could facilitate our access as necessary.
We also worked closely with our client in developing the survey specifications, so that for the management, an appropriate degree of sampling could be planned and for refurbishment, the right level of invasive opening was allowed for.
