CASE STUDIES

NW RFCA

Eton Environmental Group has worked with the The Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association North West of England and the Isle of Man (NW RFCA) since 2016, carrying out asbestos surveys at over 200 sites, as well as other asbestos management services.

The Client:

The Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association for the North West of England and the Isle of Man (NW RFCA) is the organisation which facilitates, supports and promotes the reserve forces of all three armed services and the three cadet organisations in the region.

The Work:

The North West England & The Isle of Man Reserve Forces’ & Cadets’ Association engaged with Eton Environmental Group in 2016 to carry out asbestos surveys at their cadet centres. In the original tender there was approximately 223 sites requiring a full management survey.

Over the years working with the NW RFCA, we have built up a good relationship and now conduct other asbestos surveys on an ad-hoc basis and asbestos remediation works.

Due to the security requirements at the high-profile buildings, our staff always completed the required security clearances and work in line with a contract-specific code of conduct.

Following completion on site and bulk analysis by our in-house lab; survey reports including plans are issued to the client as per the agreed schedule. We have attended meetings and training sessions with our key contacts in the past to ensure we are providing accurate data from our surveys in order for the NW RFCA to upload the data to their internal database allowing all parties to access the most up to date building or property data.

Every effort is made to leave buildings in a clean and good state of repair following works, including the use of polythene, vacuums, discrete sampling and using MDF panels to seal any holes following investigations.

The Client’s View:

Alex Croxton, from the NW RFCA, said: “Eton Environmental have provided a first class service since their introduction to NW RFCA. Both planned and reactive works have always been carried out to a high standard even when fast response times have been thrown upon them.

“Their professional approach both in office and on-site has been a valuable asset to the association and gives us as estate managers full confidence with their delivery of works.”
