Darlington Council
Eton Environmental Group has worked with Darlington Council for several years and our most recent project involved carrying out an asbestos demolition survey at a nightclub.
The Client:
Darlington Borough Council provides a range of services to people living in Darlington and the surrounding area and owns buildings across the town.
The Work:
Eton Environmental Group were approached by Darlington Borough Council in 2020 after conducting works with the Council for several years. The authority was preparing to demolish a former nightclub and required an asbestos demolition survey to be carried out prior to the work starting.
As the building was old and rundown and without power, it was evident that we needed to provide extra care when surveying this building. To meet requirements Eton completed a full risk assessment prior to the survey taking place. A surveyor assist was provided along with portable lighting and a lift engineer to provide access to the lift for survey.
The council were happy with how we had assessed the building and how we were going to complete the survey, ensuring the safety of our employees and any persons who would enter the building after Eton.
Overall, the survey was successful and was carried out by our experienced surveyors. A full survey report was provided, and all involved were happy with the outcome of the survey.
