As part of our ongoing commitment to reduce our carbon footprint, we recently installed solar panels on the roof of our head office in the North-East.
The solar panels will help to power the office in Darlington where the majority of our staff are based.
This investment in renewable energy technology forms part of our environmental sustainability initiative, which is aimed at reducing the impact our operations have on the environment.
And in the first three months of use, the panels have helped us save 600kg of CO2 emissions.
Alongside this, we already operate several electric vehicles with plans to have an entirely electric fleet in the coming years.
The next stage is to introduce solar panels on our southern office which we hope to have completed by the end of 2024.
Ultimately, our aim is to ensure we are a net zero organisation by 2050, in line with Government timescales.
