We may not have achieved a hole in one, but Eton Environmental Group was delighted to support a charity golf day in aid of a Yorkshire hospital.
We sponsored a hole and entered a team in the annual Parker Group Golf Day held to raise funds for the Mid Yorkshire (MY) Hospitals Charity.
A fantastic £7,373.40 was raised on the day and the money is being put towards a new bereavement suite in the maternity department of Pinderfields Hospital.
Eton’s Commercial Director was part of a team of four who played 18 holes at Normanton Golf Club.
He said: “We invited three of our clients to make up the Eton team and it was a perfect day for a game of golf.
“During its 15 years, Eton has always been aware of its corporate social responsibility and regularly takes parts in events like this, as well as donating money to charities, sports clubs and special causes.
“In 2018, we donated £8,456.96, which is the most in our 15-year history and hopefully we will do even better in 2019.
“We do a lot of work in Yorkshire, so it was particularly nice to be able to give something back by taking part in this event which raised money to put towards a suite for bereaved parents at Pinderfields.”
