Cash for Kids

Eton Environmental Group was once again delighted to support the Cash for Kids Mission Christmas campaign,

In 2020, an incredible £12,462,649 in gifts and cash was raised across the UK, enabling the Cash for Kids charity to help 243,935 children.

We did our bit by using one of the Eton vans to pick up hundreds of toys from collection points across West Yorkshire.

These were taken to a central warehouse in Leeds where they were sorted into age categories for boys and girls, before being wrapped and picked up by individual charities who distributed to the children in time for Christmas.

In a letter to Eton Commercial Director Adam Benson, the Managing Director of Cash for Kids, Sally Aitchison MBE said: “I am writing on behalf of Cash for Kids to say a huge thank you to you and the full team at Eton Environmental Group for the outstanding continued support you gave us once again for our annual Mission Christmas campaign.

“When we started to plan in July it almost didn’t seem possible to deliver a physical toy appeal in the middle of a Pandemic and a lockdown. We were determined that the children we help would not go without on Christmas morning. 2020 had been a difficult enough year without Santa not turning up too!

As you know we believe every child deserves to build lifelong memories with a little bit of magic on Christmas day and thanks to the support of you and your team we are able to help.

“On a local level it is forecast for Cash for Kids were able to help 16,811 children in West Yorkshire. Without your help this would simply not have been possible. All these funds will stay in the local area.”

Adam said: “This is something we do every year but it became even more important in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, so we were once again pleased to play our own little part in the success of the campaign.

“Eton has a string ethos when it comes to corporate social responsibility and we’re constantly looking at ways of giving back to the communities in which we work across the UK.”
