Eton Environmental Group was delighted to be part of an event looking at environmental compliance in facilities management.

In partnership with the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) Midlands region and CBRE, the world’s leading commercial property adviser, we helped to deliver a presentation at the event, which provided an overview of the scope and legislation governing environmental compliance, the role good Facilities Management can play in achieving high levels of compliance, the organisational benefits (financial and social) of achieving high levels of compliance, as well as the potential consequence of not being compliant.

Eton’s speakers, Adam Benson and Toby Ford, talked the audience through the challenges faced by facilities managers in delivering high levels of environmental compliance, the duty of care placed on FM’s and organisations and the legislation including recent and impending changes that govern environmental compliance.

Their presentation covered asbestos management and surveys, legionella risk assessments and fire risk assessments.

Toby said: “We were delighted to be asked to be part of such a well-attended event looking at the role of facilities management in environmental compliance.
