The client

Cofely, which is part of the GDF Suez Group, is one of Europe’s leading energy and environmental efficiency services companies. In the UK the company has nine offices, including its European headquarters in Slough.

The work

Eton Environmental Group has provided asbestos consultancy services to Cofely since 2004. Our work for Cofely involves undertaking management and pre-refurbishment surveys across Cofely’s portfolio. Buildings include offices, industrial sites and historical buildings.

Subsequently, Eton Environmental conduct annual reinspections to the surveyed properties as well as managing remediation projects and supplying full analytical support.

Providing Cofely with a range of asbestos management services over the past eight years has enabled Eton Environmental to demonstrate our commitment to working with a blue-chip company with a global reputation for efficiency, something we pride ourselves on. The success of this partnership can be attributed to building strong working relationships that provide us with the freedom to tailor bespoke asbestos management solutions that will directly benefit our client.

We are continually seeking to devise new ways of delivering these solutions and because of the relationship we have with Cofely, we have the comfort of knowing we have the full support of the company in making our services even better.

The client’s view

Kevin Reeves, for Cofely, says: “What we like about Eton Environmental is that it provides a non-biased, competitively priced service that is always prompt and reliable.

“Whilst Eton does not remove any asbestos that is found, it takes responsibility for drawing up a work plan and then managing the contractor to ensure this work is carried out as per its instructions.

“So, effectively, when it comes to asbestos we can rest safe in the knowledge that Eton will provide a quick and efficient service from beginning to end, with little or no input needed from us.”
